Safari JOBS is searching for an experienced Senior Guide for a high-end safari environment where exceptional guiding standards, confident guest hosting, and personalised safari experiences are key.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned guide looking to step into a role where experience, presence, and high standards will be truly valued.

The Guideโ€™s core focus will be to lead guided walks, conduct game drives, and provide a confident senior presence around guests, including hosting and guest interaction. when not actively out on walks or drives.

This is a bespoke safari environment, with no set activity times for guests, requiring a flexible, guest-aware guide who can tailor each safari experience with confidence and professionalism.

Our client would also welcome couple applications, specifically where the Guideโ€™s partner is an experienced lodge Front of House professional or Spa Therapist.

This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled, creative and confident culinary leader to be part of a prestigious new lodge from its opening phase, helping to shape and establish the culinary identity of a property designed for discerning, high-end safari guests.

Must be versatile, skilled in hot and pastry kitchen, and multi-venue catering;
Excellent understanding of the latest food trends and concepts;

Highly presentable with excellent communication skills and balanced emotional intellect;

Ensure that stock ordering, receiving, stock takes and requisitions procedures are strictly followed according to par levels and company standards for better accuracy.
Effective kitchen administration to minimize wastages and shortages and effective stock control assuring full responsibility of the food cost relative to set budgets.
Train, mentor, develop and continually improve the kitchen brigade.

Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repairs of all lodge vehicles and equipment, including -
Management and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimise breakdowns.
Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, safe, and compliant with legal and reserve requirements.
Maintain detailed service records and asset registers.
Advise management on new technology, equipment, vehicles, and best practices that should implement to improve efficiencies and costs.
Lead, manage, and motivate a team comprising: Mechanics and workshop assistants.
Allocate daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and skills development.
Enforce discipline, productivity, and high workmanship standards.
Develop weekly and monthly workshop plans and maintenance schedules.
Prioritise urgent repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
Coordinate closely with Lodge operations, guiding department and service teams.
Ensure standby and emergency mechanical support is available.
Manage workshop inventory, tools, spares, lubricants, and consumables.
Maintain minimum stock levels and reorder timeously.
Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and control costs.
Prepare and manage workshop budgets.
Reduce waste and ensure cost-effective repairs.
Ensure full compliance with OHSA, environmental regulations and internal safety standards.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workshop.
Enforce PPE usage and safe work practices.
Inspect completed work for quality and safety.
Implement workshop best practices and SOPs.
Ensure all repairs meet luxury lodge operational standards.
Promote a preventative maintenance culture rather than reactive repairs.

Uniform and laundry thereof;
Complimentary staff shuttle service is provided for shift transport, with pick-up before each shift and drop-off after each shift for staff living within approximately 20 km of the property in surrounding local communities.
