We are looking for a Financial Advisor. This is a permanent position. Experience would be regarded as having at least 1 year advisory experience and has a DOFA date with the FSCA, as well as already having their RE5 certificate.
Advisors need to be 26 years or older, and if their DOFA date is more than 4 years old, they should already have a relevant qualification or 120 FAIS credits on NQF level 5.
Matric, valid driver’s license and own vehicle is compulsory.
Foreigners are welcome provided they have a passport, work permit valid for at least 1 year and international or SA driver’s license.
A clear credit/criminal record is favourable. Candidates under debt review and consolidation will not be considered unless rehabilitated.
We offer a training allowance of R 12 500 per month for the first 2 months whilst in training.
We also offer a vesting bonus that can result in approximately 140% of commission – This is production based and is paid monthly. Interest free technology loan of R16k to purchase technological equipment. Full back-office/admin/para-planning support. Upfront bursaries for industry related studies. If the Advisor has been in the insurance industry for more than 4 years, he/she needs to have 120 FAIS credits on NQF Level 5 in his/her name. A valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle is compulsory to travel to clients on a daily basis. Candidates must be matriculated. A basic salary of R12500 per month is offered for the first 2 months whilst in training. Commission is offered thereafter. Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of the plant is essential as well as the ability to do capacity planning. An aptitude for problem solving is essential. REQUIRED: Detailed chemical understanding of typical components used in the formulation of products; The ability to formulate and create new products and a methodology from conceptualization through to field test for market acceptance; Daily and per batch adjustment of additives to cater for stringent specifications; Overall responsibility for monitoring and supervision of maintenance to the plant; Responsibility for production output and efficiency; A strong work ethic and to be always available during production; Flexibility in being available to work outside working hours as this may include night shift, weekends etc.; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Strong record keeping and documentation skills as well as batch tracking, records of formulation and production output monitoring; Management skills to plan shifts and manage production staff; Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control procedures and relevant regulations; Consideration of and improvement of Safety and Health requirements; The ability to work with a team including Finance, Sales and Marketing.
