Interested in WizSeek? Start by checking what your CCTV system can support.

Dahua WizSeek is not a feature that can be assumed to work with every recorder or camera installation. The right solution depends on the equipment already on site and the questions your team needs to answer.

TTK Surveillance will assess your cameras, recorder, network, footage quality and recording retention. We will also discuss channel requirements, user access and the practical upgrade options.

For some sites, a compatible recording platform may be the appropriate route. Others may need a broader upgrade or specialist platform. For a new installation, cameras, storage and workflows can be planned together.

We will explain the recommended approach before installation and test representative searches as part of the handover.

A customer reports a missing bag. A staff member asks where an item was last seen.

Before anyone can respond confidently, the team may need to work through several camera views and a broad time window.

Dahua WizSeek is designed to help authorised users search compatible CCTV recordings for visible objects using everyday descriptions. A blue backpack, for example, may give the operator a starting point for locating relevant clips.

The next step is human review: check whether it is the correct item, inspect the surrounding sequence and establish what the footage actually shows. An item outside the camera view or hidden behind another object may not be found.

TTK Surveillance can assess suitable camera coverage and recording equipment, then help your team build a practical search workflow.

Which vehicle was involved—and where should the footage review begin?

At an estate, office park or depot, a report may describe a vehicle without giving an exact arrival time. That can mean a lengthy review of entrance and internal-road cameras.

Dahua WizSeek is designed to help authorised users search compatible recorded footage using natural descriptions, including visible vehicle details. A description such as “a white van near the entrance” may help identify clips worth reviewing.
Operators still need to confirm the vehicle, follow the relevant sequence and check the context.

WizSeek search should not be treated as guaranteed number-plate identification or a substitute for a dedicated ANPR requirement.

TTK Surveillance can assess your camera views, recording platform and operational priorities to recommend an appropriate solution.

“The delivery arrived.” “We cannot find a record of it.”

When those two statements conflict, CCTV may help clarify what happened—provided the relevant event was recorded clearly.

Dahua WizSeek is designed to help authorised users search compatible footage using descriptions of people, vehicles and visible objects. For a delivery enquiry, a person carrying a parcel or a vehicle at the receiving area may offer a useful starting point.

Your team can then review the matching clips, check the handover and inspect the surrounding footage. A returned result is a lead to investigate, not proof that goods were accepted or that a delivery was complete.

TTK Surveillance will assess camera coverage, image quality, recording retention and system compatibility to recommend a practical solution for your receiving workflow.

You remember what you saw—but you do not know the exact time it happened.

Perhaps it was a person carrying a blue bag, someone holding a parcel or a particular vehicle near an entrance. With traditional CCTV review, that can leave your team searching camera by camera.

Dahua WizSeek is designed to let an authorised user describe a target in ordinary language and search compatible recorded footage for possible matches. A description such as “a person carrying a blue bag” gives the review a useful starting point.
The clearer the visible details, the more useful the enquiry may be. The team still needs to review the results and confirm whether the clips relate to the incident.

TTK Surveillance can assess whether your equipment supports a suitable WizSeek solution and help authorised users develop a repeatable search-and-review workflow.

When an incident occurs, the question is often simple. Was a delivery received? Which vehicle was involved? Where was an item last seen? The challenge is finding the relevant footage among hours or days of recordings.

Traditional CCTV investigations can mean moving through timelines, camera by camera, and estimating the right moment. That can slow down a response to a customer query, delivery dispute, security incident or site-safety investigation.

Our latest article explores Dahua WizSeek, a video-retrieval capability designed to help authorised users search compatible recorded footage using everyday language. Rather than starting with a full timeline, users can describe what they need to find and begin their review from likely results....

An incident happens. The question seems simple: What happened, and where is the footage?

But answering it can mean working through hours of recordings, switching between cameras and trying to narrow down the right time. For a busy security or operations team, that search can hold up a customer response, an internal investigation or a delivery enquiry.

Dahua WizSeek is designed to help authorised users search compatible recorded CCTV footage using everyday descriptions. Instead of beginning with an entire timeline, your team can start with likely matches and review the returned clips.
TTK Surveillance is introducing a survey-led service to assess your site, recommend suitable Dahua equipment, install or upgrade the system and support your users.

Search results still need human review, and performance depends on the equipment and footage available. The aim is a more practical starting point for finding answers.

🎥 The purpose of surveillance is not simply to collect recordings that can be reviewed after an incident.

An effective security system should help a business notice unusual activity, verify what is happening, notify the correct people and escalate the concern according to an agreed process—while there may still be an opportunity to respond.

This begins with understanding the risks at the property. Which entrances are critical? Where are the blind spots? What stock or infrastructure requires additional protection? Who should receive an alert, and what should happen next?

🔎 Notice. ✅ Verify. 📢 Escalate. 🛡️ Respond.

Technology, trained operators and clear procedures must work together to turn visual information into meaningful action.

❤️ Not every unusual event captured by CCTV is a security threat.

If an employee suddenly stops normal activity, appears confused or remains motionless in an isolated part of the site, they may require assistance rather than a security response.

📹 Visual monitoring cannot diagnose a medical condition and should never replace appropriate medical care. It can, however, bring unusual inactivity to the attention of a nominated site contact—particularly across large premises, during after-hours operations or in areas where colleagues may not immediately notice that something is wrong.

🤝 A clear welfare-escalation procedure should identify who must be contacted, what information can be shared and when a first-aider or emergency service should become involved.

Sometimes effective monitoring protects more than assets. It helps people notice when another person may need help.

📦 Would you notice an unfamiliar object placed beside your perimeter fence?

A discarded box, crate or piece of material may appear harmless, but it could become a climbing aid, a place to conceal equipment or a marker for a later intrusion attempt. Pallets and stored items may also create hiding places close to vulnerable boundaries.

👀 Perimeter security should extend beyond checking whether the fence itself is intact. The surrounding environment must remain clear, visible and regularly assessed for changes.

Loading zones, dispatch areas, storage yards and spaces beside fencing all deserve specific attention. Correctly positioned cameras and monitoring zones can help bring unfamiliar activity or environmental changes to attention.

⚠️ The aim is to recognise an emerging vulnerability before someone uses it against the site.
