Site Manager - Optic Fibre
Leading Professional Fibre optics Infrastructure company is seeking a Site Manager. Candidates must be based in East London (or be willing to relocate)must have an intimate knowledge of the city must have great communication skills (both verbal and written) must have experience with installation of fibre optics and project management drawing with Microsoft Visio and experience in applying for council way-leaves and/or have dealt with the East London council must have own transportWill be responsible for the end-to-end fibre optic infrastructure project delivery and management thereof, will be responsible for all aspects of the project over its entire life cycle as well as, the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Supervise the work done by the foremen/staff and sub-contractors on site and ensure adherence to the approved site drawings, Provide constant feedback to Project Manager and customer in relation with the site progress. Keep a site diary for each project and record of visits and actions taken during each visit. Adhere with required Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality and other legislation Define and manage project scope Plan and develop project schedule Manage project materials supply Monitor and control a project Manage project communication and documentation Ensure client satisfaction Key requirements: Telecommunication experience Must have fibre route build (metro, access and long haul) experience Fibre blowing, floating and splicing experience

Job Function: Managing of all technical office duties, installation and maintenance and Quality Assurance of all equipment installed in the EL.

Scope of work:
1. Monitoring of all stock used at the EL Branch including stock takes, repairing of equipment where possible.
2. Installation of all aspects of wireless equipment.
3. Standby duties for East London. Second standby for Port Elizabeth.
