Senior SHEQ Coordinator
Ref: CXP165/2026
Implement and maintain SHEQ and environmental compliance systems, drive continuous improvement, coordinate environmental initiatives and training, and provide ongoing project oversight and reporting to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Salary: R46 000 TCTC(based on experience and qualification)
Location: Stanger (KwaDukuza)
Main Duties include:
Managing and monitoring waste management activities and compliance
Managing and monitoring air Quality compliance
Compiling monthly environmental topics for awareness
Participate in public participation meetings and assist with EIA processes.
Assist investigations into accidents or incidents that have occurred on site.
Developing task-based risk assessments in conjunction with the Head of Departments and Line Managers.
Ensure that adequate fire-fighting and first aid equipment is available and personnel are trained and coordinate fire and emergency drills.
Ensure the management of PPE for all employees.
Ensure SHE representatives are performing their required functions.
Assist the SHEQ Manager in various HSE tasks.
Prepare and conduct SHEQ Induction presentations for all employees, visitors and contractors.
On call 24 hours to respond to any incidents or accidents.
Criteria:
Relevant SHEQ related tertiary qualification
3 -5 years’ experience in a SHEQ environment
Experience in waste management is advantageous
Experience in SAMTRAC and HIRA
Incident/Accident investigations experience
Knowledge & understanding of Environmental Acts, Regulations & their applications and Environmental Legislation as it impacts on management of risk
Google Workspace tools and experience with Cloud Computing and SAAS tools such as DocuSign, Lucid Chart, etc
