Why Does It Happen?
Some possible reasons include being overwhelmed with too much work (leading to burnout or chronic stress that drains cognitive reserves), decision fatigue (making too many small decisions wears one out), having no clear objectives or unrealistic objectives, feeling emotionally exhausted, or lack of dopamine due to disrupted schedules.
From a more psychological perspective, setting extremely high expectations at the beginning of the year leads to disappointment and low self-confidence, which result in low motivation and inefficiency in work.
It should also be said that there is a significant difference between a slump and burnout because the former is usually temporary, while the latter means experiencing prolonged emotional exhaustion.
