Poor performance is not misconduct — and treating it like it is will cost you.

Before dismissal is even on the table: the employee must know the standard, the standard must be reasonable, they must be told they're falling short, and they must be supported to improve. Training. Guidance. A PIP. Check-ins.

Then document all of it. It's your paper trail at the CCMA.

Done right, you either develop the person or you build a defensible case. Either way, it works. 💚

Are you passionate about turning data into commercial insights and building strong business relationships? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a well-established, international organisation based in Cape Town.

In this role, you'll work closely with global distributors, analyse business performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide valuable insights that influence strategic decision-making.

What we're looking for:
✔ 3–5 years' experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Finance or Data Analysis
✔ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field
✔ Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data modelling)
✔ Strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills
✔ Experience within a manufacturing, beauty or global distributor-model business is essential
