Chrysalis Academy, Tokai OUR MISSION
To provide a platform for youth to deepen their resilience and unleash their potential🦋

The Chrysalis Academy is a youth leadership development organisation as well as a social crime prevention initiative, empowering young people to take responsibility for their personal growth. To achieve its vision and mission, the Academy provides young people with the necessary life skills and tools to become self-confident, more self-aware and positive role models within their communities. The Academy offers a 3-month intensive residential life skills programme to provide young people with the necessary tools to become self-confident, resilient role models and leaders within their communities. Our programme has four phases: Orientation phase; Outdoor Phase; Skills Phase; and the Community and Exit Phase. During each phase, the students are exposed to physical activities, a range of learning areas and voluntary work to achieve their development into positive role models. The deepen their personal mastery, environmental awareness, life & leadership skills. To ensure the sustainability of the programme and as part of the on-going development of our youth, the Academy offers a 5 year aftercare support programme to monitor and assess the progress and needs of graduates in order to provide employment, learnership and volunteer opportunities where required.

26 BRAVO FAMILY VISITATION | LOVE, HOPE & TOGETHERNESS

What a beautiful day of love, connection and encouragement! A heartfelt thank you to all the families and loved ones who joined us for our 26 BRAVO Family Visitation. Your presence, warm embraces and words of encouragement reminded our young ladies why they must persevere, stay committed and finish strong!

For the families who could not be with us today, please know that your young ladies were surrounded by love. They enjoyed a beautiful lunch, were treated to special spoils, and were showered with so much love, warmth and care. ❤️ We held each family in our hearts, knowing that soon you will be reunited.

We know that saying goodbye is never easy, and we hold space for the emotions that come with parting. But take heart, dear families, this is only a temporary goodbye. Before long, you will be reunited again! Until then, continue to keep your young ladies and one another in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏽

How beautiful that our day began with a little rain, yet ended with the sun shining in all its brilliance! A fitting reminder that even after the tears of goodbye, there is always light, hope and brighter days ahead. The sunshine reflected the warmth and beauty of the precious moments we shared.

To our 26 BRAVO young ladies and their families: keep believing, keep praying, keep growing, and keep shining! Until we meet again, may love sustain you, faith strengthen you, and hope carry you forward. 💚✨

26 BRAVO | SKILLS PHASE: WEEK 2!

Two weeks into theSkills Phase, and our ladies are finding their rhythm, embracing the learning and getting ready to turn their dreams into reality!

The energy is high, the focus is strong, and the excitement for the future is real!

👩🏽‍🍳In the kitchen, our Basic Cookery students are cooking up more than just delicious meals — they’re building practical skills for their future careers.

Out in the field, they’re getting hands-on experience in Peace Officer Training, Security and Occupational Health and Safety, putting their learning into practice and preparing for the world of work.

The Office Admin and Home based students are engaged in presentation and simulation, as they are exposed to real world experiences.

🌱 Every lesson, every practical and every new experience, is another step towards the futures they are working so hard to create.

We’re halfway through the Skills Phase, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far our 26 Bravo students have come!
