TRAINEE AGENT/KWAZULU NATAL PINETOWN - PERMANENT
Industry: Motor Industry
Positions Available: 2 posts
Conduct routine inspections, investigate complaints, collect outstanding returns and register new establishments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Routinely conducts inspections by visiting establishments so as to ensure that the collective agreement is maintained by the establishments in the assigned zones / areas.
Identifies, advises and assists in correcting contraventions to the collective agreement.
Improve communication regarding aspects of the collective agreement to all the establishments to promote healthy industrial relations within assigned zones / areas.
Ensure that the member’s general awareness of the collective agreements is increased within assigned establishments / areas.
Enforcement of the collective agreement by way of prescribed legal processes.
Manages and schedules appointments with establishments in the assigned zones / areas.
Promotes the benefits and functions of the Industry to members and during inspection
Job Requirements
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Requirements
Above average verbal and written communication and listening skills
Ability to build strong effective relationships with all stakeholders, i.e. existing clients and potential clients as well as internal stakeholders, i.e. colleagues and management
Must have good decision making and problem solving skills
Must have good analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong persuasion skills.
Report writing skills.
Good administration skills
Good organizational and planning skills
Qualifications
An appropriate Grade 12 certificate and/or equivalent academic qualification.
Related Labour relations qualification
2 years solid sales experience (motor industry advantageous)
At least 2 years solid experience with Labour Relations
MUST have at least 1 year experience in a similar role
The ability to communicate in English is essential and be able to handle own correspondence.
In possession of a current valid driver’s license and have 2 years driving experience ESSENTIAL.
Computer literacy (Word & Excel)
Technical experience/knowledge in motor engineering and/or motor vehicle repairs advantageous.

Some tips when compiling your CV.
WHAT SHOULD MY CV REFLECT
Basic personal details (Name, date of birth, Contact details, location) and qualifications
Dates of qualifications obtained, employment dates for all roles, reasons for leaving
Previous work experience should reflect an overview of the projects you have worked on, the role you performed and tools/methodology used to complete tasks (eg: Computer skills etc).
Availability and willingness to relocate if required.
Current salary (including all benefits and displaying nett), as well as your salary expectations
Reason why you are seeking alternative employment
Notice period
HOW IMPORTANT IS ACCURACY ON A CV
Extremely, it is a reflection on your integrity which is a core value of companies
Incorrect information can lead to a charge of fraud
Qualifications, criminal and credit records are verified if and when required by the Client
Ensure accuracy of dates, as confirmation of employment with previous companies are also completed.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE DATES ON A CV
Clients expect a full date timeline reflecting your working experience. This develops an understanding of how your career has developed.

How to Spot an Unscrupulous Agency
Avoid any jobs requiring a commitment fee, caution fee, processing fee, test fee, allocation fee or placement fee - it's highly likely that it could be a scam. You will be asked to pay a certain amount of money.
Look out for an obscure email address, badly designed company website with no traceable phone number or address; this should raise red flags. Some companies go as as far as approaching job seekers via email and offering them a job in another country.
Watch out for "Work-at-home" and money transfer opportunities. Here, payment processing positions are most likely to be scams designed to obtain a job seeker's bank account details in order to steal money from them.
Watch out for agencies that guarantee commissions or big earnings - This is a big red flag. The job offered is usually purposely vague and designed to entice a low-income job seeker with the promise of massive earnings. Be very skeptical of any plan that ever uses the terms "guaranteed" and "lots of money" in the same sentence.
Watch out for companies that promise you that you will "Get rich quick" - These scams entice job seekers with the "passive income" opportunity. The more absurd the offer, the higher the odds are that it's a scam. The only people getting rich are the ones selling these plans!
