I am looking for a stay-in nanny/domestic helper with the following requirements:
* Preferably Venda or Pedi-speaking
* Must be able to communicate well in English
* Must be Christian
* Must have previous experience as a nanny/domestic helper, with contactable references
* Must be comfortable caring for two children, aged 4 and 11
* Must be reliable, trustworthy, responsible, patient and genuinely good with children
* Must have good time-management skills and be able to balance household duties, caring for the children and personal phone use appropriately
* Must have no history of theft or dishonesty in previous employment
* Must be willing and able to travel with the family occasionally, including local trips and overseas travel
* If the successful candidate does not have a passport, we can assist with the passport application process and payment
* This is a stay-in position
* The home is a 5-bedroom house, so she must be comfortable managing the cleaning and general upkeep of a larger household
Main duties include:
* Looking after and supervising the children
* General household cleaning and maintaining a clean and organised home
* Laundry and ironing
* Cooking and meal preparation
* Assisting with the children’s daily routines and needs
Time off:
The position includes one weekend off per month. There may be opportunities for additional time off during the children’s school holidays, depending on the family’s schedule and circumstances; however, additional days off during school holidays cannot be guaranteed.
A valid driver’s licence would be advantageous, although it is not compulsory. If she has a licence and later starts assisting with driving/transporting the children, her salary will be increased accordingly to reflect the additional responsibility.
As this is a stay-in position, accommodation, food and basic household necessities will be provided and will not be deducted from her salary.
Salary: R3500(start)
