✨ Action: Try the 5-Minute Emotion Check-In. Pause. Take three slow breaths. Name what you’re feeling right now: stress, gratitude, overwhelm, relief, frustration, hope. Whatever shows up is valid. Awareness is the first step toward control. Zero judgement.

Naming your feelings is part of taking care of your mental health.

Today, we pause to honour the millions of lives touched, changed and lost to HIV and AIDS. By the close of 2024, an estimated 40.8 million people were living with HIV worldwide, with 1.3 million new infections and 630,000 lives lost this year alone. These numbers are not just statistics. They are families, futures and stories.

This year’s theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response”, calls us to recognise the resilience of communities, healthcare workers and advocates who continue to push forward despite global challenges. Their courage, innovation and compassion remain at the heart of the fight.

On this World AIDS Day, may we choose empathy. May we stand with those living with HIV. May we support the work that saves lives. And may we continue moving toward a world where AIDS is not a threat, but a chapter we have overcome together.
