True allure isn’t about ‘anti-aging’—it’s about the power of the pivot. It’s about understanding the art and science of how a woman’s silhouette evolves and celebrating every curve.

True allure isn’t about ‘anti-aging’—it’s about the power of the pivot. It’s about understanding the art and science of how a woman’s silhouette evolves and celebrating every curve. 📐✨

I’m finalizing the details on a project that combines my FIT technical training with two decades of dressing some of the world’s most powerful women.
This is for the woman who knows that her most radiant chapter is just beginning.

The fashion industry doesn’t have a waste problem.
It has a design problem.
A new systematic review published in Cleaner Waste Systems (via ScienceDirect*) analyzed 104 research papers on fashion and textile waste management within the circular economy.
The conclusion? We can’t recycle our way out of a broken system.
Here’s what leaders in fashion, sustainability, and operations need to know
1️⃣ The Scale of the Problem
• The fashion industry remains one of the largest contributors to global waste.
• Linear models (produce → consume → discard) still dominate.
• Recycling efforts exist — but they’re not enough.
Circular Economy Is Promising — But Incomplete
Most research focuses on:
• Reuse
• Recycling
• Material recovery
But circularity must start at design, not at disposal.
Major Barriers Identified
• Weak policy enforcement
• Complex global supply chains
• Limited recycling infrastructure
• Consumer behavior challenges
• Lack of scalable circular business models
In short: the system isn’t aligned for circularity.
The Real Opportunity
Circular practices can:
• Reduce environmental impact
• Lower long-term operational costs
• Strengthen brand trust
• Create competitive advantage
But only if companies shift from “waste management” to “waste prevention.”
The Leadership Question
Are we designing products for profit today —
or designing systems that will still work in 20 years?
Sustainability is no longer a CSR initiative.
It’s a strategy decision.
What’s one bold move the fashion industry must make to truly become circular

We must turn to a circular economy!

The shirt you are wearing right now...

Someone sewed it.

Not a machine alone. A person.

Someone who:

· Fed fabric through a machine at speed
· Matched seams with precision
· Set sleeves, attached collars, finished hems
· Repeated this hundreds of times a day

That's skilled labor. And yet?
The average garment worker earns less than $3 a day.
Not per shirt. Per day. Here's the thing:

We don't undervalue clothes.
We undervalue the hands that make them.

A $15 t-shirt at the mall?
According to the Garment Worker Center, 85% of garment workers are paid just 2-6 cents per piece. www.sewing-lab.com

This thing is going to get serious!! I don’t think fashion weeks are just fashion weeks anymore.

Fashion weeks are moving towards being governance strategies, I’m very here for it.

London Fashion Week is kicking off later this week, and has updated its sustainability requirements - not just for the clothes, but also for the shows - which is v v interesting! Under British Fashion Council’s evolving sustainability framework, brands showing are expected to meet a range of requirements.

So brands on the LFW schedule now need: http://www.britishfashioncouncil.com
