🚩 The "Danger Zone": Study Permit Extensions are now taking 137 days (nearly 5 months!). If your permit expires in April or May, you must apply now to avoid falling out of status.
💍 Spousal Sponsorship Reality: The gap is real.
Outside Canada: 14 Months
Inside Canada: 20 Months
Strategy Note: If your spouse is inside Canada, applying "Outside" (Family Class) might actually be faster than "Inside" (Spouse or Common-Law Class), but you lose the Open Work Permit option. We can help you weigh this risk.
