EULEX Kosovo (Official) The European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) is the largest ever deployed civilian Common Security and Defence (CSDP) mission of the EU.

The European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) was launched in 2008 as the largest civilian mission under the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union. As part of his engagement with local authorities, today, the Head of EULEX, Antero Lopes, held a constructive courtesy call with the Mayor of South Mitrovica, Faton Peci.

During this meeting they discussed at length about local governance priorities from a rule-of-law and security perspective.

Today, the Head of Mission of EULEX, Antero Lopes, had the pleasure of hosting the new Swiss Ambassador to Kosovo, H.E. Anne-Lise Cattin Hennin and to congratulate the Ambassador on her recent appointment.

The meeting offered an opportunity to discuss the EULEX complex rule of law mandate as well as to thank Switzerland for the support extended to the Mission as Contributing State.

The possibility for juveniles in conflict with the law who have been sentenced to alternative educational measures to access an educational-correctional institution represents an essential step in their rehabilitation process.

On 25–26 August 2026, as part of its monitoring, mentoring and advising role, EULEX facilitated a workshop for the Kosovo Correctional Service aimed at drafting guidelines for the placement of juveniles subject to educational-correctional measures at the Lipjan/Lipljan Educational-Correctional Centre, while ensuring a high level of safety, security and supervision.

Discussions focused on strengthening safety and supervision, improving placement procedures and ensuring that children’s rights remain at the heart of juvenile justice.

EULEX will continue monitoring and advising on the finalisation, adoption and implementation of the guidelines.

Mundësia që të miturit në konflikt me ligjin, të cilët janë dënuar me masa alternative edukative, të kenë qasje në ndonjë institucion edukativo-korrektues paraqet një hap thelbësor në procesin e rehabilitimit të tyre.

Më 25 dhe 26 gusht, si pjesë e rolit monitorues, mentorues dhe këshillues të tij, EULEX-i organizoi një punëtori për Shërbimi Korrektues i Kosovës, me qëllim hartimin e një udhëzuesi për sistemimin e të miturve me masa edukative-korrektuese në Qendrën Edukative-Korrektuese në Lipjan, duke siguruar njëkohësisht një nivel të lartë sigurie, mbrojtjeje dhe mbikëqyrjeje.

Diskutimi i fokusua në fuqizimin e sigurisë dhe mbikëqyrjes, përmirësimin e procedurave për sistemimi dhe për të siguruar që të drejtat e fëmijëve të jenë në qendër të sistemit të drejtësisë.

Mogućnost da maloletnici u sukobu sa zakonom kojima su izrečene alternativne vaspitne mere imaju pristup vaspitno-popravnoj ustanovi predstavlja ključan korak u procesu njihove rehabilitacije.

U sklopu svoje uloge za praćenje, podučavanje i savetovanje, EULEX je 25. i 26. avgusta održao radionicu za Korektivnu službu Kosova u cilju izrade nacrta smernica za smeštaj maloletnika kojima je izrečena vaspitno-popravna mera u Vaspitno-popravni centar Lipljan, uz očuvanje visokog nivoa bezbednosti, sigurnosti i nadzora.

U fokusu diskusija bili su jačanje bezbednosti i nadzora, poboljšanje procedura smeštaja i osiguravanje da prava dece ostanu u srži maloletničkog pravosuđa.

EULEX će nastaviti praćenje i savetovanje tokom finalizacije, usvajanja i sprovođenja smernica.
