Bain Capital has agreed to acquire Gong cha Global, which operates nearly 2,200 stores across 33 markets. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The investment thesis is clear:

→ Expand in Japan & Korea
→ Accelerate growth in the US
→ Scale through a capital-light franchise model
→ Drive growth through digital, loyalty and product innovation.

For investors, this is bigger than bubble tea.

🪄Global consumer brands + scalable franchise models + international expansion = an attractive PE growth play.
