Hard at work and very glad we all got to pitch in and help out the Yonkers community!
Mindspark came, saw, and conquered!
Employees of Mindspark made the most of their Impact Day on May 27. Undeterred by the hot and sticky weather, 30 game volunteers descended upon the daylighted Van der Donck Park and the Science Barge. The park crew removed 13 bags of debris and one tire from the Saw Mill River, revarnished 5 benches in our American Eel Outdoor Classroom, and weeded and planted 30 native grasses in raised beds. The Barge crew set up 2 new Beta Bucket growing systems in the greenhouse that will accommodate 40 new plants (cucumber and watermelon already underway), painted the storage container, and secured canvas to the railing for vistors’ safety.
High five to Mindspark, makers of popular digital apps and our very good neighbor in Yonkers!
