BOIL ADVISORY NOTICE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Date: June 3, 2026

The City of Winnfield Water System is issuing a Boil Advisory for all customers affected by the water outage that occurred on June 2, 2026.

As a precautionary measure, customers are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, washing fruits and vegetables, and food preparation. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute before use.

This advisory has been issued due to the loss of water pressure associated with the outage, which may have allowed contamination to enter the water distribution system. Water samples have been collected and submitted for testing. The boil advisory will remain in effect until laboratory results confirm that the water is safe for consumption.

The City of Winnfield will notify customers as soon as the advisory is lifted.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of our drinking water.

At this time, no boil advisory is necessary.
Our water crew is working diligently to complete the repair as quickly and safely as possible. Customers may experience low water pressure until repairs are completed and the water tank has had time to rebuild to normal operating levels.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and will provide additional updates as they become available.
