We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Oven Operator / Quality Assurance (QA) Backup to join a manufacturing company in Wi******er, VA. This company specializes in manufacturing polyester tanks and is looking for someone who can support production operations, assist with quality assurance, and safely operate a sit-down forklift.
This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or warehouse experience who enjoys hands-on work, can follow detailed procedures, and is interested in growing their skills within a production environment.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor industrial ovens used in the polyester tank manufacturing process.
Follow established operating procedures, production schedules, and safety guidelines.
Monitor oven temperatures, cycle times, and production conditions to help ensure products meet specifications.
Assist with quality assurance inspections and serve as a backup for QA responsibilities as needed.
Inspect finished products for defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns.
Document inspection results, production information, and any issues identified during the manufacturing process.
Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, transport products, and support production operations.
Load, unload, and organize materials throughout the facility.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, or quality discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
Assist with additional manufacturing and warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous sit-down forklift experience is required.
Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when monitoring equipment and inspecting products.
Basic documentation and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
Dependable attendance and the ability to work an early-morning schedule.
Willingness to learn oven operation and assist with quality assurance responsibilities.
Ability to work occasional Fridays as production needs require.
