UNCW Office of Military Affairs The UNCW Office of Military Affairs provides leadership and support to military-affiliated students.

The Office of Military Affairs is an advocacy office that was established in March 2016 to develop and coordinate resources to help military-affiliated students--service members, veterans, and their family members--achieve their academic and career goals. Military Affairs staff members help students and their families learn how to navigate the university.

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

On D-Day, thousands of brave men faced impossible odds in defense of freedom, forever changing the course of history. The heroism and the sacrifices of all who served will never be forgotten.

As we honor those who stormed the beaches for liberation, may we reflect on the values they fought to protect and express our deepest gratitude to those who gave everything for future generations.
