Temporary Permits Specialist
Location: Whiteville, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $16.45 an hour

Carolinas Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Permits Specialist to support a local Building Inspections Department in Whiteville, NC. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:
Assist customers with building permit applications and requirements.
Process permits, collect fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records.
Schedule inspections and coordinate with contractors, homeowners, and inspectors.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide exceptional customer service.
Prepare reports, process payroll and accounts payable, assist with budgeting, and perform other administrative duties.
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous administrative or office experience required; experience in construction, permitting, or building inspections preferred.
Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret regulations, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service.
Experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds
