Diane Mertz-Hart joins Executive HealthSearch, Inc. as Vice President, Long Term care
Diane joins Executive HealthSearch with over 30 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining Executive HealthSearch, she worked nearly 25 years for the Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Gurwin is a 460 bed skilled nursing facility and acute rehab center known for its state of the art care in a loving and compassionate environment.
Ms. Mertz-Hart began at Gurwin prior to its opening as the Director of Human Resources. Along with the Executive VP, she opened the facility writing numerous policies, procedures successfully obtaining federal and state licenses, permits and approvals prior to admitting the first resident in 1988. Diane was quickly promoted to administration and then became Gurwin’s administrator of record, responsible for the day to day operations of the center.
Before Gurwin she had several years of executive level acute care HR experience. Diane holds a Masters in Business Administration from Adelphi University and is a licensed nursing home administrator. She is currently a board member of Leading Age New York, formally the New York State Association for Homes and Services of the Aging. She has also held board of director positions for The American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration (ASHHRA) and was President and Board Member of the Association of Healthcare Human Resources Administrators of Greater New York (AHHRA).
