Am I missing anything?

2 weeks ago I crafted “my own” bourbon by blending several different mashes. The process, done at Jersey Spirits Distilling Co., reminded me of the “ingredients” employers must “blend” when hiring:

* Relevant Experience
* Skills (including transferable skill sets)
* Education
* Licensures and Certifications
* Cultural Fit
* Soft Skills
* Compensation
* Location Alignment (onsite/hybrid/remote)

Recently I also participated as a panelist for the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce on a webinar regarding hiring and retention. While we discussed the increased importance of “skill based hiring”, I still believe that the “right” candidate will always have the “right” mix of all of the above. So, am I missing any hiring ingredients?

Client-centric recruitment is our "wheelhouse"

I was on a call yesterday with an employer (potential client) and was asked what Master Search Solutions "specializes" in.

In the interest of time, I did not launch into the "industries" we service, the types of "positions" we fill, or the competitors (of this particular employer) that we work (or have worked) with. All could be viable responses. But is that what they are asking? Or, are they really asking "how can you help us"?

It's simple, we are a "client-centric" recruiting firm. Meaning, once we understand what a particular company in looking for in their candidate's, once we understand who aligns best with their company culture, and once we identify the challenges our clients are looking to solve with their next hire, there is no one (an any level) that we can't help them find.

Our goal is to deliver qualified candidate's who can positively impact our clients and add value to their business. If you are in New Jersey and looking for a recruitment partner you can trust, that's our wheelhouse!
