A small, innovative, family owned manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Adhesive Chemist with a background in Process Engineering and Development for an immediate opportunity as they move into production of a new product.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience working with adhesives or polymers. Must have knowledge of processes. Any previous experience with research and development, glues or polymers would be beneficial.

This could be full time or part time depending on the person's current situation.

Painters must know how to prepare various types of paint materials for spray application to all products and be able to apply all types of paint materials to obtain the required finish and color on our products as specified.

Must know the procedures associated with the preparation of surfaces to make them suitable for receiving the primer and finish paint application.

Must be able to make all necessary connections and clean, maintain, and keep in good repair the necessary spray guns, paint tanks and hoses specifically associated with and required for the paint spraying operation.

Operate the overhead crane and the forklift.

Take materials request list for the next shift from the plant.
Using hilo; gather materials and load the trucks. Deliver to the plant. Unload.
Possibly reload finished product onto truck and bring back to the warehouse. Will also unload materials from vendors and place in warehouse.

Chauffer license, hilo experience, paperwork involved with shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities may include loading, moving materials, assisting in loading machines, positioning work, setting up jobs, making adjustments or operating machines, final assembly operations plugging, visual inspections. Performs hand operations, such as filing, de-burring, cleaning, disc grinding, palletizing, banding, folding, etc. Uses torque wrench and hand tools as needed.

Responsibilities
•Lifts, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to assist in assembly, forming, fitting and welding •Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand, pallet jack, or dolly •Cleans, scrapes, and grinds metal to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping •Sets up machines and/or helps set up machines for operation and may make minor adjustments as needed; Runs machines after set-up •Checks and monitors the condition of dies, punches, and quality of product being produced •Accurately measures and reads blueprints to check parts for compliance •Picks up and moves scrap from work areas, cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment •Performs final assembly operations •Ensures adequate supply of stock is at station to run machines; operate hoists and slings; fills out production reports and labels product as needed •May conduct helium testing of product, prepare tank for wash line and test and install metal fittings into fuel tanks •Repairs and assembles pallets using power saw and hand tools

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Responsibilities
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling
parts
• Maintains welding equipment
• Performs finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
• Sets fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) as required
• Knowledge of wire, filler materials and gases applicable for various steel alloys

Required Experience
• High School diploma or GED, prefer a Weld Vocational Tech certification
• One-year work experience in various forms of welding, preferably in a production
environment
• Proficient in MIG welding techniques
• Knowledge of wire and filler materials and gases application for various alloys,
working knowledge of fixture and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• Successful completion of an internal welding test, and the ability to achieve
certification to customer requirements as applicable
• Ability to read blueprints, especially weld requirement symbols
• Eligible to work in the United States
