We are proposing a new completely local, real time job search website for Jefferson County, NY. Many sites are difficult and frustrating to search because they do not allow a search by date. Since their searches may not be based on current job openings, they may increase frustration with job seekers and can contribute to many people giving up and preferring to stay on welfare or unemployment becau
se the frustration of navigating the sites makes job searching seem monotonous and redundant. We personally know what it's like to be unemployed and try to find a local job listing in a sea of job search sites. We will not only incorporate a job search website, but a Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest and Instagram page to allow followers to see the new jobs and employers in real time as they are posted and utilize the social networking sites to their fullest potential. Many employers are missing, or the job search posting are ads by a corporation and the local branch is not hiring. The site will list each employer and will state clearly whether or not the local company is currently hiring. If the company is not currently hiring, our site will provide specific contact information, where accessible, for job seekers to send in resumes for future employment opportunities, should they become available. We will list every human resource manager's contact information so job seekers will know who to speak to when they have applied for a position and who to refer to for follow ups on applications that have been submitted. We will request that each and every employer keep us informed of up to date information on job openings as they become available, through phone, fax or email, so that our postings can be properly listed based on the most current positions open, directly from the employers. We intend to offer corporate entities an opportunity to run their ads, but unless it is a local manager of said corporations stating that they are currently hiring, there will be a disclaimer included in the corporate ads that the postings are at corporate level and may not necessarily mean that there are local job opportunities available. We are fully prepared to approach every Jefferson County, NY employer and personally meet with each and every human resource coordinator to ensure that the search is completely local and accurately describes the specific, current and immediate needs of the employers throughout the Jefferson County, NY area. Each and every local employer, from the small family-owned "mom and pop" businesses all the way up to the large chain stores and factories in Jefferson County, NY will be included on our site, regardless their size. We will have featured employers, who will pay a front page fee to be listed on the main page. Our site will eliminate repetitive job offers and will simply list each employer and what positions they are currently searching to fill, as well as direct contact information for the personnel that is directly responsible for interviews and hiring under each of their specific pages. Many local employers are using the worst service available to the job seeker and that is Craigslist. Craigslist is notorious for is phishing/fake job posting, among thousands of other phishing/fake postings. Many use Gmail account email addresses; post a fake job only to use it to gain your Social Security number and other ID information. Not one job posting will be listed unless verified by us as a legitimate business. If we provide a true one stop job search website, there is a greater chance our unemployment numbers could go down, more people may be less likely to continue relying on DSS for support and survival, and job seekers would be more inclined to look for jobs if they only have to go to 1 site, rather than 30 + sites to find a job that is best suited to them and that is in their immediate surrounding areas. In conclusion, our purpose for wanting to create this site is that we know exactly how frustrating job search can be, because we have been through it. A personal experience with unemployment is another reason that our site is unique. Most of the administrators and creators of the job search sites we see now have never had to go through trying to find a job in this area, and in some cases, they have never had to go through it at all. They have not experienced the hours and hours of searching because there are several different job search sites that all repeat the exact same listing for only a very small handful of the jobs that are actually available. Our goal is to simplify the already confusing and frustrating process of searching for a job. As a result, we hope that more people, who have become disheartened about finding a job because of the exhausting trial of looking on so many different sites, will find relief and a renewed sense of motivation for job search through the use of our site.
