The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Econ The Initiative’s scope was expanded to advance educational equity and economic opportunity for Black students, families, and communities.

The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans was created to strengthen the nation by improving educational outcomes and economic opportunities for Black Americans of all ages. nomic Opportunity for Black Americans (Initiative). It is housed at the U.S. Department of Education to strengthen the nation by improving educational outcomes for Black Americans of all ages, and to help ensure that all Black Americans receive an education that properly prepares them for college, productive careers, and satisfying lives. The Initiative was originally created by President Barack Obama on July 26, 2012 as the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans (WHIEEAA).
