"THE INTERVIEW IS BECOMING THE AUDITION"

A new August 2026 analysis of nearly 93,000 interview questions found that employers are increasingly asking candidates to demonstrate their abilities rather than simply talk about them.

About 40% of the interview guides analyzed included some form of case-study evaluation, while about 31% included presentations.

That's particularly relevant for people who aren't great at traditional interview questions but can actually do the job.
