POSITION SUMMARY:
Installs, maintains, repairs manufacturing and supportive equipment.
Responsible for overall maintenance of physical plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Inspects all equipment on production floor on a scheduled basis, performs routing maintenance as necessary.
• Oversees all major projects in the physical plant, repairs, upgrades, installations, etc.
• Performs all repairs to existing equipment or plant, or consults with contracted vendor on same.
• Repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment.
• Inspect and service electric and electronic controls, circuits, and panels periodically.
• Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wires and check and clean motors, relays and contacts.
• Plan, lay out, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process control, switch boards, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, including alarm and communication systems, tape actuated controls or other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits.
• Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, wire or lay out the wiring of complex circuits with a large number of connections.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts.
• Detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments.
• Prepare wiring diagrams to record changes.
• Plan and lay out work for one or two less skilled electricians or electronic maintenance technicians.
• Oil and grease machines following prescribed schedule.
• Assist in moving equipment.
• Instruct and direct one or two lower graded maintenance workers or helpers in details of work as necessary.
• Perform carpentry and related work involved in maintaining buildings.
• Makes purchase requisitions for all maintenance supplies/ parts as necessary.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and is compliant to ISO principals and specific sections of ISO 9001 which apply to this job function.
• Supports the company-wide LEAN initiative.
Overall Qualifications:
Looking for a full-time hands-on machine Maintenance Supervisor. Experience in plating environment equipment repairs, carpentry, electrical and wiring blue print reading, plumbing and mechanical fields preferred.
Duties include: Preventative maintenance, routine equipment inspections, and installation of equipment. Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment.
