🧹 Public Area Attendant – Waco, TX
📍 Location: Waco, TX 76701
💰 Pay: $14.50/hour
📋 Position: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
⏰ Shifts: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM & 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
📅 Schedule: Rotating shifts | Open availability required | Weekends required
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Public Area Attendants to help maintain the cleanliness and overall guest experience of a busy hotel property. This position is responsible for keeping public spaces clean, welcoming, and comfortable for guests.
🧹 Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain public areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and elevators
Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean mirrors, walls, and doors
Empty trash, remove debris, and restock supplies
Use approved cleaning chemicals and follow all safety procedures
Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas
Report low supplies, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards
Properly turn in all lost-and-found items
Assist guests with basic requests and directions when needed
Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
💪 Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs
Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
✅ Requirements
Must pass a drug screening
Must pass a background check
Must not have any theft-related convictions
No violent offenses, regardless of how long ago
Previous public area, housekeeping, or hotel experience
CPR, First Aid, or AED certification preferred
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
Must have open availability for all days and rotating shifts
Weekend availability is required
