TalentBurst is looking for Setup Mechanics in Buena, NJ. This is a direct-hire role for a great company in the glass and plastic packaging industry!

Job description:

Set-up machines to ensure that they operate in a safe and efficient manner.
Remove/install molds and part specific tooling.
Connect item specific auxiliary equipment. Store unused items.
Prepare material/scrap handling equipment.
Prepare downstream pack stations.
Set up item specific in-line inspection equipment.
Set initial process parameters and machine recipes.
Introduce correct raw materials for job.
Clean and perform basic preventive maintenance on machines.
Verify machine safety devices and overall safe work environment.
Support process tech in the startup and production of first article samples.
Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines.
Promote/maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to and communicate to others all plant Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and GMP.
Adhere to safety policies.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, masks, hairnets.
Job qualifications:

A High School, Vo-Tech, or equivalent graduate.
Understanding of the operating characteristics and capabilities of all manufacturing machinery, equipment, and controls including plastic injection molding machine, cranes, various hand tools, temperature controllers, drill press, pick and place robots.
Forklift certified: Experience operating a forklift and overhead cranes or ability to be trained and quickly become efficient.
Knowledge of plastic resins, mold setup and functions of an injection molding press.
Preferred:

Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a manufacturing operator.
Ability to communicate/present information to individuals or small groups.
Strong basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units. Compute rate, ratio, percent.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical job duties:

Stand for most of the work shift.
Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Heavier amounts can be moved with assistance of equipment.

· Remain standing for periods exceeding two (2) hours

TalentBurst Inc. is hiring experienced Forklift Operators for Corning Inc. located in Vineland NJ.

Hourly pay rate of $16 per hour to start with possibility of full-time hire after 90 days. $20 per hour when hired (conditions apply)

We have multiple openings starting immediately after successful completion of a drug test, background check and education verification.

The ideal candidate will be flexible to work days or evenings as needed. 8 hour shifts with overtime.

Requirements
- High School Diploma OR Equivalent

- Background check and drug test will be conducted prior to start

- Valid driver's license

- Potential for hire within 90 days

- 30 minute paid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks during shift.

Forklift Job Description:
Operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The position involves driving around warehouses, production areas, storage spaces and other facilities. Two or more years of recent experience driving sit down forklifts is required. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

Unload materials and merchandise and transport them to assigned places
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Transport materials to production workstations
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Skills
Proven experience as forklift operator
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Excellent physical condition and coordination
Valid Drivers License
