Currently looking for DIRECT HIRES - MACHINE OPERATORS

Starting Wage: $16.00/hour for entry level (Shift premiums)

2nd Shift -- Mon-Fri, 3:00P-11:30P
7P-7A -- 2-2-3 Rotational schedule
7A-7P -- 2-2-3 Rotational schedule
3rd shift -- Sun-Thurs, 11P-7:30A

Job Summary -Safely operate multiple pieces of equipment on a liquid filling line which includes equipment change overs, preventative maintenance, and quality verifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- The safe operation, set-up, repair, preventive maintenance of equipment- Identify abnormalities, write work orders for repairs- Ability to calculate OEE % and scrap dollar’s- Insure the line is adequately supplied to meet production metrics- Work from established procedures including Safety, Quality, Standard Work and verbal instructions- Have a thorough knowledge of all line operations and the ability to demonstrate process proficiency within job classification- Maintain work areas and tools according to Visual Management and 5S Standards.- Maintain all required records- Assist in the continuous improvement culture and seek opportunities to eliminate waste- Participate in safety, quality, productivity improvement teams
Education and Experience Profile- High School Diploma/GED or 5 years manufacturing experience, or mechanical experience- TPM/Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus- Mechanical aptitude- Good communication skills- Problem solving skills (Fishbone/5Why experience is a plus)- Ability to create/follow/improve standard work procedures- Decision making skills- Organizational and computer skills.- Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.-
Physical capabilities: Lifting up to 40lbs, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, stretching, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending

Pay: $16.00 - $19.25 per hour

Provide direction, instruction, training and audit adherence to Standard Work Procedures.• The safe operation, set-up, repair, preventative maintenance, and the regulation of machine cycles, to meet production metrics.
• Assist employees as necessary to maintain required production, complete repairs, preventative maintenance and changeovers.
• Collaborate with technical personnel for installation, repairs, adjustments and process improvements.
• Insure the line is adequately supplied to meet production metrics.
• Work from established procedures including Safety, Quality, Standard Work and verbal instructions.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all department operations and the ability to demonstrate process proficiency.
• Provide back up support and relief to maintain production metrics.
• Maintain work areas and tools according to Visual Management and 5S Standards.
• Maintain all required records.
• Maintain visual board per the standard work instructions
• Prepare/Lead Tier 1
• Engage in the continuous improvement culture and seek opportunities to eliminate waste by participating in RPS (Rapid Problem Solving), and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) events.
• Escalate all issues affecting the key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
