Cook at The Munchery in Willits, CA
The Munchery is an up and coming restaurant in Willits, CA. We wish to create a fun upbeat atmosphere that appeals to diners of all ages, including a dog-friendly patio. We will be a cross between full-service casual and full-service fine dining. We will strive to offer fresh seasonal organic and natural ingredients sourced from our community. We will also take advantage of our full liquor license and create signature drinks. We want to give our community a good name by showing our support of the local spirit and love of food and drinks that are healthy and fun. The Munchery is a family owned business, come join our family!
Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients at an establishment that serves food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal.
Duties include:
* Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
* Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
* Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
* Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
* Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
* Handle and store ingredients and food
* Maintain food safety and sanitation guidelines
* Execute opening and closing procedures
* Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
* Monitor station inventory levels
* Accommodate guests’ special requests
* Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers
*Qualifications
* Completion of food handler safety course
