Un violinista va tocar durant 45 minuts al metro de Nova York. Un grapat de persones es van aturar, una parella va aplaudir i el violinista va recaptar uns $30 USA dòlars en propines.
Dingu ho sabia, però el violinista era Joshua Bell, un dels millors músics del món. En aquell metro, Joshua va tocar una de les peces més complicades mai escrites per violí en un instrument per valor de $3,5 milions de USA dòlars.
Dos dies abans de tocar al metro, Joshua Bell va esgotar entrades a un teatre de Boston i els seients tenien una mitjana de preu d'uns $100 USA dòlars.
L'experiment va demostrar que l'extraordinari en un entorn ordinari no te sortida i sovint es passa per alt infravalorat.
