The Indiana FFA is a statewide youth organization of over 12,500 student members as part of 215 local FFA chapters in 90 of the 92 counties in Indiana. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The Indiana FFA is a subsidiary of The National FFA O

rganization, which operates under a federal charter granted by the 81st United States Congress and it is an integral part of public instruction in agriculture in middle and high schools in Indiana. The Indiana State Department of Agriculture and provides leadership at the state level and helps set direction for FFA as a service to local agricultural education programs. These letters are a part of our history and our heritage that will never change. But FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA also welcomes members who aspire to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more. For this reason, the name of the organization was updated in 1988 after a vote of national convention delegates to reflect the growing diversity and new opportunities in the industry of agriculture. FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet those challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of agricultural career pathways. So today, we are still the Future Farmers of America. But, we are the Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers and Future Entrepreneurs of America, as well.

Indiana FFA is excited to announce the workshop schedule for the 97th Indiana FFA State Convention!

Throughout Monday, June 15th and Tuesday, June 16th, members will have the opportunity to attend leadership workshops led by industry professionals, business partners, and visiting national and state officers!

Indiana FFA is beyond excited to announce our keynote speaker for the 97th Indiana FFA State Convention, John Beede!

From climbing Mount Everest to traveling across the globe and authoring inspiring books, John has dedicated his life to pushing beyond limits, embracing adventure, and encouraging others to chase their goals with purpose and passion.

Be sure to join us during the First General Session on Tuesday, June 16, as John Beede takes the stage to help kick off an unforgettable week at the 97th Indiana FFA State Convention! Recently, Salem FFA held their annual banquet. Our State Sentinel had the opportunity to join them for a night of celebration and friendship! Jesus loved seeing and cheering on all the amazing accomplishments of their chapter. Congratulations, Salem, on such an amazing year. We’re so proud of you and are always cheering you on.

Two weeks from now, the 2026 Indiana FFA State Stars Across Indiana will be announced and recognized at the 97th Indiana FFA State Convention! Until then, let’s meet our incredible State Star Finalists!

We are so proud of each finalist as they continue writing their own story and making a difference across Indiana and beyond!

Recently, our State Sentinel, Jesus Santana, had the opportunity to attend the Southmont FFA Banquet! He had so much fun celebrating the amazing accomplishments of their members and learning about the incredible year they've had. Southmont FFA, thank you for being so welcoming and hospitable to Indiana FFA members from across the state this year. We're so grateful for you!

As we get closer to the 97th Indiana FFA State Convention, we are beyond excited to introduce our Visiting State Officers! Swipe to meet the talented leaders from across the nation who will be joining us at State Convention. We can’t wait for them to be a part of our story!

This year, we’re excited to launch our very first Visiting State Officer Connect Program! This program gives Indiana FFA chapters the opportunity to personally connect with and “adopt” a visiting state officer during State Convention. Whether it’s inviting them to sit with your chapter during a session, grabbing a meal together, sharing a chapter tradition, or anything in between, every connection helps make Indiana feel like home. Be sure to ask your advisor how your chapter can get involved!

Let’s show our visiting state officers the very best Hoosier hospitality and make their time in Indiana truly unforgettable!
