State Court Jurors called for Monday, August 3rd are excused! All jurors for the remainder of the week are required to be at the Administration Building Courtroom at 9 am on the date called. If there are any changes, I will post accordingly! Also, call the evening before to confirm you are needed the following day. Thanks for your willingness to serve!

We received several essays from our 4th graders this year regarding their experience at the Mock Trials. Rebecca Chapman from Tiftarea Academy was the overall winner this year. Congratulations!!!! We would also like to extend congrats to the individual school winners.

You would not believe the number of calls I have had in the last two weeks regarding scammers!!! Hard working folks are falling victim and losing THOUSANDS of dollars. The callers call from cloned numbers that are the ones from the Sheriff's Office, they know names of individuals that are employed with the Agency, and they do some big talking that terrifies people! NEVER would we call you about missing jury duty and require you to PAY money over the phone as some sort of fine for not showing up. If you have a warrant, the LEO's typically don't call you but would NEVER let you pay a fine over the phone to take care of the warrant. We don't text you with a bogus warrant and have you call to pay a fine over the phone...NEVER!!!!! And I don't think we even accept bitcoin as formal payment! PLEASE just hang up. If it concerns you, hang up and call the Sheriff's office about a warrant, the Clerk's office to check on the status of jury duty...call somebody!!!! Message me..... I'll help you figure it out, but DO NOT SEND MONEY OVER THE PHONE!! Just hang up the phone!!!!

Jurors called for jury duty on Tuesday and Thursday this week are officially excused from jury duty! Jurors for Wednesday (4/29) do have to appear and are NOT excused from jury duty. Check the clerk's office phone message the evening prior to your scheduled date for further verification.
