Congratulations to Shayla Giddens, BSN, RN, WCC, CWON, on becoming a Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse!

This advanced certification reflects specialized training in caring for patients with hard-to-heal wounds, ostomies and other complex skin-care needs. She earned this with Emory University’s Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Center and successfully completed the certification process through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board.

Shayla began her nursing career at Tift Regional Medical Center in 2012 as an ICU nurse before transitioning to inpatient wound care. She has maintained her Wound Care Certified credential for 11 years and pursued this additional certification to expand the specialized care available to patients in our community.

She is also working toward a master’s degree in healthcare administration. We are proud of her continued commitment to learning and providing specialized care for patients in our community! 👏
