📊 Inventory Accountant (Remote)
📍 Location: Remote (occasional travel to New York and Kansas)
💰 Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
🔍 Overview:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Inventory Accountant to lead financial operations related to inventory, cost accounting, and bookkeeping. You'll work closely with the accounting team, leadership, and cross-functional departments. 🧾 Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and mentor the Bookkeeper on QuickBooks, AR/AP, Bill.com, and expense reporting
Maintain accurate inventory records and manage cost accounting using a custom ERP system
Review and verify manufacturing costs including standard costs, COGS, and variance analysis
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (inventory valuation, cash flow statements, etc.)
Manage tax submissions, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
Lead process improvements, support audits, and manage special accounting projects
Provide financial strategy insights and cost control advice to leadership
✅ Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA a plus)
3–5+ years experience in inventory or cost accounting (preferably in manufacturing/product-based industries)
Proficiency in QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup environment
