BIG NEWS: VenTech Search has acquired JMH Talent Solutions.
Jordan Humphreys joins the firm as our Head of Engineering Search Practice.
For nine years, VenTech has operated as a specialist search firm for automation and robotics revenue talent, placing elite revenue generators at KEBA Automation, Yaskawa, Vecna Robotics, and Nabtesco.
Adding an engineering practice was the obvious next step. Finding the right person to lead it was not.
Most firms recruiting technical talent in this industry are generalists. They match keywords, they cannot hold a real conversation about a servo drive or a motion controller, and they treat a controls engineer like any other req on the board. That standard was never going to work here.
Jordan was the exception. 7 years building JMH Talent Solutions into a dedicated controls, automation, and robotics engineering search practice. Controls engineers, automation engineers, robotics software and integration engineers, applications and systems engineers. The roles most firms cannot scope, let alone fill.
He runs his desk the way we run ours. Deep in one industry, direct with clients, and unwilling to present a candidate he would not stake his own name on.
Our clients do not pay us to run a training program.
We did not hire a recruiter. We acquired a practice with its own client base, reputation, and standards. There is no ramp period. Jordan is running searches for our clients now.
One firm. A one-stop shop for both sides of the automation business.
Why Jordan:
"I've watched Jordan work the engineering side of this industry for years. We shared clients without ever competing because he was hiring the people who built the machines and we were hiring the people who sold them. So when we decided it was time to dominate both sides of the business for our clients, I already knew who I wanted.
Sure, we could have built the practice internally, but that would mean a junior recruiter figuring out controls engineering on someone's open search, and I'm not going to ask a client to pay for that. Jordan doesn't need me to teach him anything. He’s already dominating on the engineering side of things, and with our resources behind him, we expect to be the leader in engineering search in the next 12 months.
Our clients can now come to us for the whole organization, and they get the same standard on both sides. That's the part I'm most excited about."
Here is Jordan on why he said yes:
"Before joining another firm, I needed real answers: Who are they? What's their reputation? Do they actually understand this industry, and do they understand me? And just as important, where are they headed?
I've known Jay and Sully for years through LinkedIn, and every mutual connection had the same thing to say about them. They're true experts in Industrial Automation Sales, and one of the most respected search firms in our niche, with a clear ambition to be the best, not just one of the best.
That's what sold me on VenTech."

Engineering is where we start. It is not where we stop.
Welcome to the team, Jordan.
