Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Band, wrap, and secure steel coils, sheets, bundles, and skids for storage and shipment.
- Operate banding and strapping tools to secure finished products.
- Weigh, count, and verify materials against work orders.
- Complete shipping tags, inventory tags, and packaging documentation.
- Inspect finished material to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met.
- Utilize plastic wrap, paper, lumber, and other packaging materials as required.
- Operate forklifts (Hi-Lo), overhead cranes, and saws safely and efficiently.
- Move finished goods throughout the facility for storage or shipment.
- Identify and report non-conforming material to supervisors or shipping personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or steel industry experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, charts, and packaging specifications.
- Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and reading tape measures.
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes preferred.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting.
- Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
- Comfortable working in a loud industrial manufacturing environment.

- Forklift and overhead crane operation
- Steel packaging and banding
- Shipping and receiving
- Manufacturing and warehouse operations
- Inventory and shipping documentation
- Quality inspection and material handling
- 5S and continuous improvement practices
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing and steel processing facility with exposure to forklifts, cranes, moving machinery, and industrial equipment.
- PPE is required at all times.
- Employees must follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
