InspHire, a comprehensive re-entry program of Abe Brown Ministries

InspHire, a comprehensive re-entry program of Abe Brown Ministries inspHire Re-Entry Program Ready4Work-Hillsborough, operated by Abe Brown Ministries, is a replication of the national Ready4Work program.

Utilizing a four-pronged approach encompassing case management, life-coaching, employability training and job placement assistance, Ready4Work motivates and moves individuals to become productive, responsible citizens within the community. Clients are ex-offenders who have not committed violent or sexual crimes and must undergo a complete background screening prior to acceptance into the program.

Upon acceptance, participants are required to attend a comprehensive 4-to-6 week career development training course, featuring employment and life-skills. Additionally, participants are paired with a case manager who provides guidance and support, as well as referrals for community assistance, life-coaching and follow-up drug screening.

It is a powerful reminder of the resilience, courage, and enduring faith of those who endured unimaginable injustice while holding onto hope for a better tomorrow. It reminds us that freedom is not simply declared; it must be protected, valued, and extended to every person with dignity and love.

At ๐€๐›๐ž ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, we recognize that true restoration begins when we acknowledge our shared history, confront painful truths, and commit ourselves to building communities rooted in justice, compassion, and opportunity for all.

Last week, clients from Abe Brown Ministries had the opportunity to volunteer with Metropolitan Ministries and spend time giving back to the community.

Located at 2810 E. Hillsborough Avenue in East Tampa, the ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐€๐›๐ž ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž stands as a lasting tribute to a man whose faith, leadership, and commitment to second chances transformed countless lives.

In 2012, legislation introduced by U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor and signed into law by ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ค ๐Ž๐›๐š๐ฆ๐š officially renamed the East Tampa post office in honor of Rev. Abe Brown. The following year, family members, community leaders, and elected officials gathered to celebrate the dedication of the Reverend Abe Brown Post Office and the extraordinary legacy it represents.

More than a building, this post office serves as a reminder of Rev. Brown's lifelong commitment to faith, service, education, mentorship, and hope for those seeking a better future.

Last Friday, the Abe Brown Ministries family had the privilege of sending our ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ & ๐‚๐„๐Ž, ๐‘๐จ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ ๐ˆ๐ˆ๐ˆ, off as he began a well-deserved three-month sabbatical.

It was inspiring to join hundreds of nonprofit and business leaders who came together to recharge their purpose, share ideas, and explore bold new strategies for creating lasting impact in our communities.
