Things I wish I knew before taking my first travel contract with SBH:
• Plan your housing- Be sure to ask your recruiter if they have any recommendations or resources that may aid in the securing of housing.
• Stay connected to your recruiter-They are there to help make everything run smoothly and be your advocate if needed.
• Be open with your recruiter- If there is something that truly matters to you such as hours, pay, or location, let them know so that they can find the perfect role for you.
• Be flexible-The role you are stepping into is currently understaffed and may be a disorganized tad at first. Do not let this intimate you, it will get easier with time!
• Ask questions-If you are unsure of something in your new role, check in with your recruiter or your supervisor and make sure everyone is on the same page.
• Have a cheerful outlook- Even on the worst days a positive mindset will go a long way.
• Do research on your new environment- Before accepting a role, make sure you research where you are doing to guarantee the area is a good fit for you.
