Maxim Healthcare Staffing seeking a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to develop a plan of care for each speech pathology patient, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:

Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions to patients with speech, language and/or hearing deficits in accordance with physician orders.
Assesses patient needs; plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
Instructs patient/family/caregivers on patient's total speech therapy program.
Advises, consults and instructs members of the multi-disciplinary team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
Other Speech Language Pathologist duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
Graduate of Speech Language Pathologist program accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association, and holds or is eligible for a certificate of clinical competence granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Minimum of one year experience in an acute care facility, out-patient setting, community health service, home health agency or private practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the past two years preferred.
Current CPR card.

Maxim Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Educational Sign Language Interpreter supports staff, students, and families by providing interpretation and translation services for the deaf/hearing-impaired students. The interpreter also effectively facilitates communication between students who use sign language due to hearing loss, and students/teachers who do not.

Responsibilities:
Utilizes American Sign Language (ASL)
Interprets oral communication into sign language and signed communication into spoken English
Adheres to the rules of confidentiality required of all school personnel
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with teachers and other school personnel.
Works closely with students, guiding them in their own language to help understand classroom and homework instructions.
Contacts families to keep them informed of school events and communicate their child's progress in school.
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Requirements:

State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)
Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and physician's orders when applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assesses students’ communication skills (e.g. articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment
Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines
Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff
Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements
Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentative communication devices, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing the adverse educational impact of communication disorders in accordance with established guidelines and legal requirements
Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and or compliance
Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information
Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success
Seeks appropriate in-service and professional development. Works within the policies and regulations of the Governing Board and member school districts; state public acts and regulations as described by the State Board of Education (ISBE); and applicable Federal laws, regulations and guidelines applicable to the education of students
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:

Hold a Professional Educator License as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of assignment
Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communications
Experience with collaborative groups and processes in a student-centered environment
Other qualifications of academic, professional, and personal excellence as the Governing Board may specify
Must be at least 18 years of age
