Women's Empowerment Project at SU

Women's Empowerment Project at SU The Women's Empowerment Project is an initiative at Syracuse University founded with the purpose of driving more conversation around gender inequalities.

Themes of this conversation include gender wage gaps, discrimination, the "glass ceiling" in the workplace, sexism, and basic rights. We want to inspire and prepare college women for their post-graduation careers, as well as include men in the dialogue as to impart more passion for the issues. We are a feminist project that aims to bring about awareness, action, and change.

The first annual Wome

n's Empowerment Week will take place April 3-7, 2017. The week will explore these issues from female guest speakers of various companies and firms, who will discuss their personal work experiences, "how-I-got-here" stories, and insights of being a woman in their field. More information about week's events can be found at suwomensempowerment.com
