If eligible, you/your child will be invited to participate in our 18-month study examining how mood affects the brain and body. You/your child will participate in interviews and questionnaires, complete MRI brain scans, provide finger-prick blood samples, and complete cognitive tasks. In addition to receiving a picture of their brain, eligible participants will be compensated $20/hour for their time completing study components with opportunities to earn more money for completing additional optional portions of the study. Has your teenager recently been experiencing sad or irritable moods or lost interest in his/her activities?

If so, your child may be eligible to participate in a study in the Psychology Department at Stanford University. We are looking for biological links between stress and depression.

If your child is eligible, he/she will have the opportunity to visit Stanford University and participate in interviews, complete questionnaires, do some computer activities, and have scans taken of his/her brain. Eligible participants will receive $20/hr for their time, a picture of their brain as a souvenir, up to $30 for completion of all follow-ups, and $10 per device for an optional digital data collection portion.
