Catherine Tran 💜
Catherine was a member of the founding class, where she assumed the role of External Programming Officer for the founding “colony,” which was before the chapter even came to be! She took full advantage of her time in the sorority and also served on the International Council of Alpha Pi Phi (ICAPP) as VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Catherine’s reason for rushing and favorite part of APP was the bonds that she formed with her fellow sisters. As an engineering student, she didn’t have the opportunity to meet a lot of other female students, so the values of sisterhood and academics that the sorority prioritizes and exemplifies was a big selling point for her.  Some of her favorite moments throughout her time in APP include sisterhood events and study sessions which allowed her to get to know her sisters on a deeper level and connect with them, creating a community of people who she knew she could truly trust and turn to for anything.
Catherine currently lives in Seattle with her cat and human (Warren). She currently works as a Civil Engineering Designer with David Evans and Associates in Woodinville, WA.
If sisters ever want to connect in the area or about APP, ICAPP, school, engineering, work advice, etc., she would love to hear from you!

Kassandra Zohn 💜
President of the founding Alpha class of the Alpha Pi Phi Iota chapter, Kassandra helped found and rushed APP because she was “looking for a place to call home on campus.” APP allowed her to be a part of a larger whole, a community of sisters who were all connected through the values of leadership, academic excellence, charity, and grace. The sorority provided Kassandra with the opportunity to grow as both a person and a leader and gave her connections not only across the Gonzaga campus, but with sisters internationally throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well. Her advice for current sisters and those who are considering rushing: don’t be afraid to get outside of your comfort zone. Every person has their own story and life lessons to teach you, and you have to be open to these possibilities of getting to know new people because you never know who you’re going to meet or what you’re going to be able to take away from these chance encounters.
Kassandra currently lives in Tacoma, WA with her calico cat, Luna, and works for the Washington State Auditor’s Office as an auditor. On weekends, you can usually find her drinking coffee and crocheting! If you’re ever in the area, she would love to say hi!
