AARP Foundation SCSEP-Southgate Site is dedicated to helping seniors aged 55 and older , who are unemployed, looking for work and who income qualify under a Title V grant program with the Dept of Labor. The Senior Community Service Employment Program helps qualifying seniors by placing them with local non-profit organizations within their own community area for 18 to 25 hours a week paid training.

At the same time we encourage our enrollees to continue their search for permanent employment by helping them with resume rewriting, job club training classes, job leads and other areas of help as needed. Since 1965, SCSEP has been helping seniors and AARP Foundation is one of it's largest supporters and service providers in the USA having served over 400,000 people nationwide.
