SENIOR AUDITOR Opening
$95K + 10% bonus
Irvine/Newport location.
The client is a large $1.5 billion employee oriented company.
need a solid senior auditor with demonstrable strong Sox testing (a minimum of 3 years current SOX testing experience). A person that can convince the Director that they can be sent out by themselves to independently conduct the Sox testing. Must have Big 4 experience within their employment history.
This job entails primarily SOX work (65%), and operational/financial audits (35%). They expect 25% travel and will be more than likely out of state and within California. General areas are: San Diego, Pasadena, Colorado, Maryland, Texas & Washington. Trips are typically just during the week (M-F) and they will be home on the weekends. The trips that last longer than one week are typically broken out and do not go through the weekend. Many of the team members have very young children, so they are very cognizant of the need to stay close and not travel through weekends.
Qualifications:
Senior Auditor candidates will have 4 to 15 years’ experience, either directly from Big 4 public accounting or a combination of public and private industry experience.
A CPA is NOT required (though would be a plus); however, the client insists upon a current Big 4 or combination of Big 4 and private internal audit experience. The successful candidate must have significant SOX testing experience. Candidates need to be very sharp with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must possess an eagerness to learn and ability to grasp concepts relatively quickly. Client is open to any industry!
Requires a pleasant and positive “go-getter” attitude, someone who is very personable and able to fit into a sharp group of people sensitive to the need for and the ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills.
Also, a person that can be thrown into testing (almost like a consultant) with limited supervision and coaching and would be able to get the test work done pretty quickly.
This is an excellent opportunity for promotion within the audit group or elsewhere within accounting operations after proving themselves.
