🚨 SHIP DAY🚨

The day is finally here! Faheem “The Dream” (I gave him that nickname, since he’s about to live out his dream) Muhammad leaves today to Basic Military Training. He will serve his nation locking is his #1 job of Security Forces. He’s going to be a great defender, but even more important. He’s going to be a great Airman. There was a time where Faheem felt defeated. And almost gave up on his “dream”. But I told him, let’s see this thing through. You done come too far to just quit. You’re no quitter. And look at him now. Soaring on Air Force Wings. Congratulations Faheem. I’m proud of you. Thank you for trusting me, but also thank you for believing in yourself!

And yes y’all he’s now shaven and clean cut.

This past week our entire squadron that #1 347th ya know. Had our semi annual at the in Delavan, Wisconsin! What a blast. Our Flight, D-Flight aka Diamond 💎 🐶 crushed it again. With some 2nd quarter heavy hitters in multiple offices. That means we exceeded over 140% production for that quarter. Woot woot. I won Non Commissioned Officer of the 2nd Quarter calendar year. I also won a MEPS award. It seems you all, my applicants I’ve processed into the have very kind comments to say. Our very own Madam President of the booster club and came home with Tom of hardware as well! We had some fun. Did some good training, had some leisure time, highlighted our accomplishments thus far. And said farewell to our incredible Commander Lt. Col Klawvitter. Who has led us to this great success. And said hello to our new Commander Lt Colonel Knight. Who has officially taken the reigns, as she leads us in leveling up some more. I’m grateful to serve the best squadron in Air Force Recruiting services!!!

Thank you to our outgoing Commander Lieutenant Colonel Russell Klawitter for his leadership, guidance wisdom. And just his incredible ability to bring our squadron the 347th to a place many outside of the 347 thought impossible. When Colonel Klawitter got to Oak Creek Wisconsin. The hill was steep, and the road seem long. But guess what, Colonel Klawitter career has been multiple steep hills, defying odds, overcoming nay sayers. So for him it was just time to continue working. And while when he got here we were in dead last in Air Force Recruiting Services. Last quarter we were #1 in the entire Air Force Recruiting Services. A feat many thought not improbable but IMPOSSIBLE. But we all know in the word Impossible, broken down it says I’m possible. And we sure were. Thank you and Godspeed sir. I had the honor and privilege to serve as the emcee for his Change of Command ceremony. Our new Commander is Lieutenant Colonel Patrisha Knight. Who we 347th Knights are really excited about as we continue working on getting better and staying atop!!!

TSgt Swank serves as a Military Training Leader. Commonly referred to as a MTL.

A U.S. Air Force military training leader (MTL) is a non-commissioned officer with specific duties. They are assigned the duty of transitioning non-prior service airmen in the Air Force into the personal adjustment to military life. The MTLs' main responsibility is to continue the training the airman has learned in basic military training.
