📢 Job Opportunity: Quality Auditor – Automotive Manufacturing (2nd/3rd Shift)
Location: Smyrna, TN Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
About the Role
Are you an experienced Quality Professional looking for stable work in a high-demand industry? Randstad is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Auditors to join our team on our 2nd (evening) and 3rd (overnight) shifts. This critical role ensures all products meet strict automotive quality standards before they reach our customers.
Responsibilities & Duties
As a Quality Auditor, you will be responsible for upholding the highest quality standards throughout our manufacturing process, which includes:
Precision Measurement: Proficiently using precision measuring devices and gauges (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, attribute gauges, check fixtures) to conduct in-process, final, and dock audits of automotive parts.
System and Process Audits: Performing regular audits of the production floor, equipment, and documentation to ensure adherence to approved Control Plans and work instructions.
PPAP Compliance: Utilizing working knowledge of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to audit supplier documentation, verify dimensional results, and ensure the manufacturing process is capable of consistent production.
Non-Conformance Management: Identifying, documenting, and reporting non-conforming materials (NCMs) and assisting in initial root cause investigation and verification of corrective actions.
Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and accurately interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Qualifications & Requirements
Required: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the Automotive Manufacturing sector.
Required: Demonstrated expertise in using various measuring devices and hand gauges.
Preferred: Strong knowledge of PPAP (the 18 required elements).
Preferred: Understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Must be available for 2nd shift or 3rd shift.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to document and report findings.
