Requirements
Operational Responsibilities
1. Executes the project plan to achieve project scope and schedule
2. Prepares specifications and complies with approved scope and schedule for designs with the president. Follows customer and company standards for project and drawing coordination, documenting decisions made during the course of the project.
3. Follows project details and specifications and design standards. Shares with the project managers and incorporates necessary modifications into final shop drawings.
4. Enters job-specific information into Partner Pak or Glazier Studio and export into Rhino saw.
5. Coordinates or performs field investigations following company guidelines, as required.
6. Performs detail design and checks for code compliance and adherence to customer objectives.
7. Participates in internal and external project meetings as requested and provides information to the project managers.
8. Participates in the quality review of final shop drawings and specifications following company processes.
9. Seeks and communicates new ideas to increase efficiency of Company Processes.
10. Follows and completes a design control sheet for the following information.
11. Identifies specific site requirements, identifies established foundation system, framing system, floor and roof loading requirements, lateral load requirements (wind, seismic) material handling requirements, future expansion requirements, code requirements.
12. Executes conceptual design consistent with project criteria as directed by the President or Project Managers.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Experience: Must have 3yrs of experience within the drafting/engineering industry in a similar position and/or experience as a project engineer or architect.
2. Reasoning and Development: Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
3. Mathematical Development: College level Math is required.
4. Language Development: Ability to read technical manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
5. Education: B.S. Engineering
