The Aird Lab at Penn State College of Medicine is looking to expand our research team.
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for highly motivated and productive applicants in the laboratory of Dr. Katherine Aird. The funded project is focused on the intersection of metabolism and the DNA damage response in the context of cancer development, cancer therapy, and/or aging. Essential Qualifications:
Recent recipients of PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) degree or close to obtaining a doctoral degree. A strong publication history is essential. Necessary research skills include standard molecular and cellular biology techniques. In addition, candidates should have outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills and excellent written and oral skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in mouse models, especially cancer-related, is preferred.
Qualified candidates should submit a one-page cover letter stating reasons for their scientific interest in the lab and career goals, a curriculum vitae including technical skills, and the names and contact information of three references.
